Obituary
Martha Jean McCarty, 70, of Sanger Texas went to be with the Lord on May 24th, 2008. She was born June 25th 1937 in Octibeha County, Mississippi to Benjamin Jackson and Corine (Blake) Watkins. She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She
had a smile that could brighten any room and warm any heart. She loved writing country songs, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her
husband Frank McCarty, one son Thomas Barmore, Two brothers Benny Watkins and Johnny \"JR\" Watkins and one grandson Tony Tyler.
Mrs. McCarty is survived by two daughters, Debbie Sutherland, of Valley View, Paula Owens, of Denton, and a son Bobby Tyler, of Sanger, four sisters, Dorothy Baird, of Valley View, Linda Johnson, of Krum, Diann Malone, of Valley View, and Carolyn Pannell,
of Denton. Eleven Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren.
Pallbears will be Grandsons Shannon Beck, Joshua Owens, Bobby Tyler, Brendan Tyler, Shaun Alexander and Nephew James Jackson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 29, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Buddy Owens, officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Alton Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
