Martha I. "Jean" Lunsford, 87 of Aubrey, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Senior Care Rehabilitation Center of Denton. She was born September 25, 1927 to Thomas and Ola Bell (Davis) Cook. She was married to Jack P. Lunsford on May 12, 1946 in Aubrey, and he passed away on December 3, 1998.
She was a homemaker and member of the Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Lunsford is survived by two daughters, Sandra Grisham of Sanger, and Kathy Rogers of Aubrey; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott and wife, Brenda Andersen, Martha and husband, Robert Stahr, Timothy and wife, Dawn Grisham, and Katherine Louise Mahurin; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, July 29, 2014 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Stahr, officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Elm Cemetery.
