Martha Ann Barber, 57, of Denton, went to be with our heavenly father on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Denton on October 1, 1950. She was a loving mother to Shannon Michelle Phillips and Shi Briggette Grace, both of Denton; mother-in-law to Tim Phillips and Alvin Grace; grandmother to Cassandra Nicholette Serna and Zackery Charles Serna of Denton, sister to Norma Jean (Sweatman) Brazeal of Denton; sister-in-law to Walt Brazeal. She is survived by many aunts, nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas M. Sweatman and Mary Louise (Reynolds) Sweatman; brother, Thomas Joseph Sweatman; grandson, Christopher Blake Barber. Martha was a cosmetologist in Denton for many years.

She will be missed, but all memories will be forever treasured.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday June 11, 2008 at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday June 12, 2008 at Full Gospel Family Worship Center, 209 Mockingbird, Denton. Rev. Jack Howard will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
