Marjorie Rozell Uland, 75 of Denton, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her home.  She was born February 3, 1933 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Kenneth Albright and Mary Margaret (Burdue) Scantland.   She was a graduate of Texas High School in Texarkana, TX where she was a member of the Tiger Marching Band.  She was a graduate of Texas Women's University with a BA and MA Degree.  She was married to Tillman Uland on December 16, 1954 in Rockwall, Texas   She is a retired Teacher, serving the last 27 years at Congress Junior High School (Now Calhoun Middle School), in Denton.    She spent many years in Scouting as a Den Mother,  She was a member of Singing Oaks Church of Christ, and spent many hours as the Church Librarian;

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Singing Oaks Church of Christ, 101 Cardinal Ln.  Denton, with Ross Thomason, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.  The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Sunday, November 16, 2008 for visitation.  In lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Singing Oaks church of Christ Food Relief.

Mrs. Uland is survived by her Husband, Tillman Uland, of Denton,  three sons and daughters in law, Harry and Jeri Uland, of Rockwall, TX  Larry and Beth Uland, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Garry and Sharon Uland, of Denton.  A brother and sister in law, Wayne aand  Mary Scantland, of Aurora, Colorado, and Twelve Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Harry  Scantland, and her parents.
