Marjorie S. Lester, age 86, of Lewisville, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008, in Lewisville.

She was born May 25, 1922 in Flower Mound, Texas to Clyde Earl Simmons and Hattie Lee Hopkins Simmons. Marjorie married Clyde A. Lester who preceded her in death on December 9, 1997. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lewisville and taught in public schools for many years.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Larry Lester of Lewisville; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Oleta Greer of Flower Mound and brother, James Simmons of Flower Mound. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Ricky and Randy Lester; infant grandchild, Morgan Victoria Danielle Lester; daughter-in-law, Valerie Lester and by two brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. The family requests memorial contributions made to the Flower Mound Presbyterian Church or the SPCA. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
