IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marion Francis
Vanbeber
September 2, 1944 – September 12, 2024
Marion Francis VanBeber, 80, passed away at home in Lake Dallas, Texas on September 12, 2024. He was born September 2, 1944, in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Francis VanBeber and Crystal Stewart.
Marion was a diesel mechanic by trade and ran a few gas stations. He met his wife Connie at Kroger where they were both employed, and they were married for 28 years. He loved to fish and hunt and would reminisce about a time when he was young and caught some crawfish to use as bait only to find out that one of his sisters had boiled them to eat. Marion was an animal lover and would rescue dogs and even planted a garden with corn so the squirrels would have something to munch on. He enjoyed his dogs so much that he would not go anywhere if they could not be with him. When Marion was not outdoors enjoying a cup of coffee watching squirrels play, he was cheering his favorite football teams the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners.
He is survived by his wife Connie VanBeber; daughter, Marta and Tim Bennett; sisters, Eveline Hammonds, Joy Jackson; brothers, Francis VanBeber, Eugene VanBeber; six grandchildren: Andrew Kreischer and wife Amanda, Micah Kreischer, Jonah Kreischer, Kye Bennett, Brian Bennett and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Crystal VanBeber; sisters, Charlene Bell, Deborah Nadine Duval, Maxine Tally; brother, Vernie VanBeber; grandson, Phillip Kreischer.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX.
