Marilyn June Alexander, 64, died on Sunday, January 28, 2007, after suffering a stroke.
Marilyn was born June 28, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harriet and the late Walter Jasick. In 1982 she married Loren Alexander and moved to Forth Worth, Texas. Marilyn resided at Lake Lewisville, Texas with her husband since 1993.
She is survived by her husband, Loren Alexander; her children, Jennifer (Gregory) Greener and Jeffrey (Judy) Rotzoll; her stepchildren, Kellee (John) Beaudry, Christine Alexander, Michelle (David) Velarde, and Sarah Alexander; her grandchildren, Dylan and Lillian; Megan, Madison and Andrew; and Jeremy; her mother, Harriet Jasick; and her brothers Alan (Bonita) and Kevin(Pam) Jasick.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Marilyn treasured her time with her family. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren to movies, museums, and water parks, and she organized family gatherings and parties that were highlighted by her culinary talents. Marilyn cultivated many friendships and was known for her warmth and concern for others.
Marilyn enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Her travels took her across the US and Mexico, to the Caribbean, Japan, and Indonesia, and many times to Europe, including a much anticipated trip to Poland. She loved to learn about other cultures and delighted in discovering new cuisines, which she perfectly replicated in her own kitchen.
A vigil will be held on Wednesday, January 31, at 6:30pm at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas. There will be a funeral mass on Thursday, February 1, at St. Ann Parish in Coppell, Texas. A reception will follow.
