Marietta D. Smith, 68, of Corinth, died Sunday, May 29, 2005 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born May 10, 1937 in Vernon, Texas to Orvill and Nadine (Matthews) Davis. She attended Electra Public Schools, and Midwestern University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Argyle, and was a Homemaker.

A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, June 2, 2005 in the First Baptist Church of Argyle, with Rev. Bill Pritchett, officiating. Burial will follow at 3 P.M. Thursday at the Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. The family will be at the funeral home for Visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday, May 31, 2005.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Jerry Smith, of Corinth, Three sons and daughters in law, Jerry Smith, Jr. and wife Holly, of Austin, Blake Smith, and wifeAndy Lovell of Lake Dallas, and Brandon Smith, and wife Sandy,of Corinth, one brother, Randy Davis, of Wimberly, eight Grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
