Maria Eluteria Hernandez Gamez, 93, of Denton passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Eluteria was a homemaker from 1979 until she passed. She took care of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as neighborhood children. She was well known in the Denton Hispanic community as La Sra. Gamez. She loved her family and was very compassionate and selfless and always putting others ahead of herself. She always looked forward to family gatherings and cooking for the family.

She is survived by her children Maria Cruz, Demetrio, Maria Susana, Maria Cecilia, Maria Faustina, Manuel, Maria Esther, Bertha Alicia, Jose Alberto, Jose Antonio, Maria Aidee, and Dora Alicia all of Denton. Eluteria leaves behind 34 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Pedro Gamez, and her parents Martin Hernandez and Benina Hernandez of San Luis Potosi, Mx.

Funeral Services will be held Monday November 21, 2022 at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton, Tx.
