Margye Lee Coffey Henry passed into Heaven's Gate August 27, 2021 at the age of 96. She was born October 28, 1924 to JW Bailey Coffey and Addie Sue Pittman Coffey. God gained another voice in the choir of Heaven and Margye will be having a joyful reunion with many loved ones.
Margye was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Joe W Henry, her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Coffey and Mary Sue Booles. She is survived by W.E."Skeeter" Henry and wife Ginger of Sanger; grandchildren, Teresa Allen of Edgewood TX, Tim Henry of Lantana, TX, Tina Hammonds of Sanger TX, great grandchildren, Hunter Pettey, Haley Pennington, Corey Parker, Hannah Henry, Kassidy Allen, Sydney Hammonds and Molly Henry; great great Grandchildren, Gannon Pettey and Kasen Pettey.
Margye had an affable personality and trained many tellers at First State Bank for 32 years. She enjoyed a few years at the Lutheran Church in Denton as a preschool teacher/caregiver for the children. Her membership in Ora E Davis Rebekah lodge #241 lasted for over 70 years. Margye enjoyed social activities such as the Hitch and Pitch Camp Club with her spouse. They Also enjoyed being on a bowling league. After his demise, Margye continued her interactions with friends such as the Business Women's Association, Wednesday Study Club and Senior Center in Sanger. She traveled with church groups and visited over 21 countries. She was especially happy about getting to see Jerusalem and the Holy Lands. Margye loved Christian music. Her passion for that put her in the choir group of First Baptist Church of Sanger. Her relationship with God manifested itself with life long devotion to serving Christ. She was a member of Full Gospel of Denton with Reverend Jack Howard for over 50+ years.
A special thanks to the Vintage in Denton for their care of Margye during her time there. Appreciation goes to VNA Hospice Care of Denton for excellent service.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 1 PM.
The funeral will follow at 2 PM at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust in Denton. The Reverend Monya Howard of Full Gospel of Denton will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Shawn Allen, Gary Booles, Bobby Henry, Tim Henry, Chris Lynch and Hunter Pettey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Full Gospel of Denton at 209 Mockingbird Ln., Denton, or VNA - Ann's Haven Hospice, 2800 Shoreline Drive, Denton, TX 76210.
