Obituary

Marguerite Frances Howle, 95, of Denton, formerly of Wichita Falls, went to be with her Lord peacefully on August 22, 2006 at her home with her Loving Family at her side. She was born February 22, 1911 in Bridgeport, TX to William Ellel and Bonita (Charles) Melton. She was married to John C. Howle on November 2, 1930, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1982 after 52 years of Marriage. She was employed as Office Manager of Archenhold Automotive Supply Company in Wichita Falls, for twenty-seven years. She lived in Wichita Falls from 1947 until she moved to Denton on November 8, 2004. Marguerite was very active in the First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, serving for twenty years as outreach leader for Philathea Sunday School class, International Ministries, secretary/treasurer for outreach Ministries, and visiting the homebound. She was Queen of Senior Adult Dept, 1998 an Honor presented for her attendances and visitation, and a member of the Round Table. She also served in volunteer services for the Wichita General Hospital Auxiliary, and Wichita Falls State Hospital. Her hobbies during the 20's and 30's were Oil painting of and including Baptismal backgrounds for several Baptist Churches, one of which was the Baptist Church in Tate Springs, TX.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 27,2006 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX with Rev. George Hillman, officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1200 9th St. Wichita Falls, TX, 76302, or the American Hospice, 1410 N. Elm St., Denton, TX 76201. Mrs. Howle is survived by Nieces Dorris Lorenz, of Windsor, CA and Marguerite Lankford of Scottsdale, AZ, and surrogate grandson, Brent Chow of Denton. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
