Margie Smith, age 83 of Denton passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born May 28, 1922 in Antioch. Nebraska to William M. and Hattie (Crable) Reed. She married Russell Smith May 1, 1954 in Alliance, Nebraska. Russell passed away March 30, 1997. She was a Registered Nurse and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Denton.

She is survived by her three son's Keith and Kurt Smith both of Denton, Kevin Smith of Greenville, South Carolina, daughter Kathleen Smith of Denton, and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Cole Chapel First United Methodist in Denton. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. The Dr. James R. Porter will officiate the service. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 6 to 7 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2005.
