Marcie Smith Pulley passed away unexpectedly on December 26th, 2024, at Medical City of Plano from complications related to pneumonia.  She was 42 years old. Marcie was born on Sept 7th, 1982, in Denton Texas.

Marcie was born to Ann Boutwell Smith and Bill Smith. At the age of 12 she became a part of Jeff and Elizabeth Dirks' family through legal guardianship. Marcie is survived by her husband, Martin Pulley and her two children, Reagan and Michael. In addition she is survived by her adopted mom Elizabeth (Dirks) Kearney and husband Brad of Argyle, along with siblings (natural and adopted): Jeff Smith of Colorado; Ginger Smith; Lisa Moore and husband, Jeremiah of Waxahachie; Amanda Smith Windom and husband Chad of Denton; Carrie Henderson and husband Bryan of Dallas; Missy Smith; Winter Smith; Flint Smith; and Shannon Smith of Atlanta, Ga. Marcie is also survived by her birthfather, Bill Smith of Colorado. Marcie was preceded in death by her mom, Ann Smith, and adopted dad, Jeff Dirks.

Marcie trusted Christ while in middle school and attended youth group first at First Baptist Argyle and then at Denton Bible Church during her high school years. Marcie ran and lettered in track at Denton High School. After high school Marcie joined the Army and became an administrative specialist serving in Korea and Virginia. In 2008 Marcie met her husband Martin in Denton, Texas. They ultimately resided in Plano, Texas.

Marcie had a stunning smile and her husband referred to her as "Million Megawatt Marcie." Marcie's eyes saw beauty in everything around her which she recreated through her amazing drawings. She had incredible artistic talent. She found comfort and peace in capturing raw nature and using it to express herself. One of her favorite places was the mountains of Colorado. She will be forever missed on this earth until we meet again in heaven.

A celebration of life will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 4th in the Denton Bible Chapel. Tommy Nelson will officiate the memorial service.  Denton Bible Church is located at 2300 E. University Drive in Denton, TX.
