Obituary

Maida Ann Robertson Crane died 18 March, 2013. She was born September 13, 1940 in Los Angeles, California to Maida Lou (Ormsby) and Joseph William Robertson and lived around the world with her Navy father and later her Air Force husband, finally residing in central Florida in 2001. She is survived by Robert Morris Crane, beloved husband of 52 years, and four children: Robert Morrison Crane of Loleta, California; Nancy Ann Barlass of Katy, Texas; Merry Lynn Crane of Navasota, Texas and Jeffrey Virgil Crane of Providence Village, Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Ruth Bernice Barlass, Andrew Morris Barlass, Samuel Kohler Barlass and David Robertson Barlass, all of Katy, Texas; and Isabel Tatum Crane, of Providence Village, Texas.

During her life "Granny Annie" as she was called attempted and accomplished many things. She was a writer of poetry and devotions, a gifted children's leader in Sunday School and Children's Church , and an actress both on stage and in commercial ventures. She enjoyed reading the news to the blind via WMFE-FM radio in Orlando and also did newscasts on the Village channel 98. She also read for four classes of students at Kissimmee Elementary School. She was a long-time member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Rancho Buena Vista Chapter and enjoyed pursuing genealogical ties. She was a member of Denton Bible Church, Denton, Texas.

There is no memorial service at the request of the deceased. She will be cremated and her ashes placed at Dallas National Cemetery when the ashes are available
