Vera Magnolia Miller
Magnolia Miller, 101, passed away September 9, 2010 at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Denton. She was born August 10, 1909 to Walter Lee Frady and Prebble Wilder in Johnson County, Texas. She had been a long-time resident of Aubrey and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she previously devoted time teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School classes and singing in the choir.
Magnolia was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lee Miller, one grandchild, two great-grandchildren, and seven siblings. She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Frady of Denton; two sons, Durward Miller of Krugerville and Wayne Miller of Pilot Point; and 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, in Denton for visitation on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 4 – 6 p.m. The funeral will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 5800 US Highway 377 South, in Aubrey on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. Services will be officiated by Gerald Miller, with singing by Ronny Miller. Pallbearers will be David Miller, Steven Miller, Joel Miller, James Miller, Carlos Cox, and Christopher Cox. Burial will be at Belew Cemetery in Pilot Point.
