Madaleine Josephine Naylor Schirlls, 90, of Gainesville, died on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Pecan Tree Manor in Gainesville. Mrs. Schirlls was born on May 25, 1923 in Petaluma, CA to Raymond and Maybella (Vaughan) Claussen. She was a member of Gateway United Baptist Church in Denton. She retired after working for many years as a PBX Operator for the Richardson Police Department. Madaleine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping and gardening. She also loved her dogs. She was an avid sports enthusiast while growing up. She was a loving mother to her children. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Jordan and her husband Steve of Sherman, Pam Ness and her husband Richard of Valley View; son, Greg Naylor and his wife Paula of Dallas; brother, Robert Hunt and his wife Nancy of Diane; seven grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Vaughan Naylor. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Burns City, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southwestern Diabetic Foundation or the American Heart Association.
