Luis Flores, 79, of Krum, formerly of Denton, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Plano, TX. He was born February 28, 1935 in Corsicana, TX. He was a graduate of Corsicana High School and attended college. He was married to Opal Busby on January 7, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico; she passed away on July 31, 2009. He was director of Community Services for Denton County for twenty years and an instructor for DWI Offenders classes for thirty years, and was Operations Foreman for Subline Water Gardens.
Mr. Flores is survived by daughters; Sanya Belcher of Krum, Paulette Burson of Collinsville; sons, Marshall Flores of Grand Saline and Dennis Stone of Denton; brother, Robert "Bob" Riveria of Houston; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Gateway Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave., Denton, with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
