Obituary

Lucille Cox, 94, of Corinth, formerly of Corpus Christi, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at her home in Corinth.
Mrs. Cox was born premature, weighing 2 lbs on August 5, 1920, in Clay, Texas, to Roger Quinton Mills Green and Flossie Lorene (Baggerly) Green. After living in various places around the state, she graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston and attended the University of Houston. She was married to Louis Leslie Cox on July 25, 1953, at her parents' home in Houston; he died on February 10, 1990. They made their home in Corpus Christi where she lived 48 years before moving to be with her family. In Corpus Christi, she was last a member of Waldron Road Baptist Church, where she was active in CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) and a variety of other ministries. In Corinth, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Lucille worked as an Inventory Auditor for Sidney Myers for many years and later co-owned Louis Cox Construction with her husband. After her husband became ill, she was a bookkeeper for Flour Bluff Independent School District, retiring in 1985. In recent years, she was devoted to Bible Study and sharing God's Word.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughter, Kathi Seibold and her husband Dennis of Corinth; sister, Gladys McKelvey of Houston, Patricia Gardner of Willis; grandchildren, D.J. Seibold and his wife Carolie, Billy Seibold and his wife Tabitha, Sarah Seibold, and Mary Grace Seibold; great-grandchildren, Truett Seibold and Kennedi Seibold; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Earl Green and Milton Wilson Green and a great-granddaughter, Audryna Seibold.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 16, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 17, at the First Baptist Church, 3033 Meadowview Dr., Corinth. Interment will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 18 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Corpus Christi, TX.
