She loved life. She was loved and she will be missed. In spite of a GED, Louise went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Education from Oklahoma State University and later a Master's degree in Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University, all while working full time and raising a family. As a high school teacher and later a guidance counselor, she used her life as an example of the importance, and the rewards, of a good education. Even after her retirement from Lewisville ISD, she touched countless lives leading divorce recovery and grief support groups at her church, First Baptist, Corinth. Louise raised her family in Oklahoma, Colorado, and Missouri before finally settling in North Texas in 1981. An avid reader and traveler, her independent spirit allowed her to experience the world with friends and family. As a devoted servant of Jesus Christ, she was an active member of her church wherever she lived, often playing the piano and the organ as her arthritis allowed. Like her mother, she provided a strong Christian home for her children, valuing her family over anything on earth. She was a wise woman; always ready with good advice, but only after she was asked. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ed Austin and Lloyd Austin.
