Loretta Mae Bassinger, age 80, of Lewisville, passed away in her sleep December 24, 2006. Loretta was born in Bolivar, Texas March 28, 1926 to Herman E. and Margaret Bentley. She was a member of the West Main Street Church of Christ in Lewisville. She married Charles Bassinger in 1946 and Charles preceded her in death November 19, 1984. She is survived by two daughters, Joan Branch and husband, Dayton of Plano and Becky Geske and husband, David of Lewisville; son, Roger Bassinger and wife, Vicki of Flower Mound; five grandchildren, Darren Branch and wife, Vanessa of Allen, Brian Branch of Plano, Shelle Lamb of Lewisville, Amy Guymon and husband, Wes of Mississippi and Cliff Geske of Lewisville. Loretta was also preceded in death by her brother, Cash Lee Bentley. The family will receive visitors and friends from 7 – 8:30p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the West Main Street Church of Christ, 950 West Main Street, Lewisville, TX 75067. Interment will follow in the Old Hall Cemetery.
