Lorena Ballard age 88 of Denton passed away Saturday April 9, 2011 at Good Samaritan Society-Denton Village. She was born in Hamilton, Texas January 7, 1923 to August and Louise (Hoeffler ) Boelter. She married Lloyd Jackson Ballard June 8, 1947 in Dallas. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Denton.
Lorena is survived by her daughter Loretta Clarke of Houston and grandchildren Larry Ballard Jr., Karly Ballard, Amanda Thomas, Cheyenne Clark and Bobbie Palilla. Sister Doris Henson of Tyler and brother Melvin Boelter of Branson, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd and son Larry R. Ballard Sr.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday April 14, 2011 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Denton. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Denton. The Rev. Russell Tieken will conduct the service. Visitation will be 6 to 7 pm Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Denton
