Obituary

Lonnie Jordan Yarbrough, 86, of Denton, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Denton Regional Medical Center.  He was born November 23, 1922 in Denton to Cecil Gilbert and Mary Eunice (Kenney) Yarbrough.  He was a graduate of Denton High School, attended the University of North Texas from 1939 until 1941 U S Army 1943-1946, and Graduated from the University of Texas Pharmacy School in 1946.  He was married to Emma Joe Robinson, on   February 6, 1943 in Denton, and she died on August 21, 1992.  He was owner and operator of the Yarbrough Professional Pharmacy in Denton since 1950.  He  also  served  as  a Church of Christ Minister for most of his life.  He had been very active in the TPA, serving as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President.  Past President Denton County P.S.  and many other Pharmacist Organizations  Founding member of Ann 's Haven Hospice, and many other Organizations and Community services.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday,  February 7, 2009 in the Singing Oaks Church of Christ,   101  Cardinal Dr.  Denton,    with Don Bowning, Bob Bentley, and Don Compton, officiating. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.

Mr. Yarbrough is survived by his Daughter and Son in law, Julia and Johnny Gibson, of Denton, and Son, John Yarbrough, of Dallas, and two grandchildren   Katherine Yarbrough and   Michael  Yarbrough of Argyle. And a sister Louise Stubblefield, of The Woodlands.  He was preceded in death by his wife and son Kenney Yarbrough.
