Obituary

Lola Lee-Amador died unexpectedly on October 20,2020 at the age of 52.

Lola is survived by her husband, Michael Amador and children, Zachery Gonzales, Martin Amador, Stephen Amador and Samantha Amador.  Her father, Kan Sue Lee and mother, So Chun Lee; sister, Lorie Lee (Maddie, niece) and brother, Peter Lee (Carolyn Lee, wife).  Along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lola was born on October 28, 1967 in Helena, Arkansas, where she graduated from Barton High School (Salutatorian), earn an associate degree from Phillips County Community College, a bachelor's degree in psychology at Arkansas State University and a master's in industrial psychology at Tulsa University.

Lola enjoyed cooking, baking, biking, taking long walks, bargain hunting, nature, reading, Hallmark movies and true crime tv show and traveling.  She was especially fond of all her pets.

After graduating from Tulsa, Lola moved to Austin Texas in 1993, working various jobs until she started her employment at the Texas Department of Transportation in Human Resource in 2001.  She worked in different departments until landing her dream job in Recycling.

Lola had many friends and she will be dearly missed.  Even though her life was cut short, she will have a lasting impact on everyone's lives with her lively personality, her great spirt and her wonderful laugh and smile. She was very knowledgeable and intuitive about many subjects and shared her knowledge and advice with both family, friends and colleagues. Lola had a giving spirit and gave in many ways to all those who new her and to charities. She was devoted to the environment and enjoyed working in the Recycling program. She taught many of us how to better our world by recycling and reusing items.

Lola meet her husband Michael Amador in Austin, Texas in 2005.  Michael and Lola worked together at the Texas Department of Transportation where they became friends, started dating and married on June 9, 2007 for 13 years.  They had many adventures traveling and hanging out with family and friends.

Lola and Michael adopted four incredible children which was the beginning of a family full of many adventures. She was very devoted to the children and loved them very much. As a great mother, she was always thinking of them. Lola was supportive and spent time guiding them to help them grow and learn to be strong, loving children that would be able to make a difference in today's world as adults.

A private family Funeral Mass will be at St. Marks Catholic Church on November 9.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to please donate to one of Lola's favorite charities, https://www.zoiesplace.org.
