Lois Ann Sorensen, 88, of Denton, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Denton Good Samaritan Village in Denton.
Mrs. Sorensen was born on April 19, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to Henry Eugene and Leslie Campbell (Dawson) Pengilly. She was married to Walter Carl Sorensen on July 3, 1948 in Jamacia, NY. She was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Denton and the League of Women Voters. She also spent countless hours volunteering wherever she found a need. Her beautiful smile and quick wit will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Carl Sorensen of Denton; daughter, Christine Marion of Krum; sons, Peter Henry Sorensen of Carroll, IA, Carl Walter Sorensen of Krum; grandchildren, Sarah, Malaika, Rachel, Karl; great-grandchildren, Bella, Soren, Hadrian.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, August 14, 2017 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2200 N. Bell Ave., Denton. Rev. Robert Hanson will officiate the service. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton.
