Lois Eugene "Poppy" Morrow, 90 years young, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Denton, TX. He was born on October 5, 1933, in Wardville, OK, to Joe and Edna Morrow. Gene married Mary Marie White on June 20, 1953, in Marietta, OK. He lived a life of service, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant after 30 years in the United States Air Force, and then worked for Denton County Sheriff's Department as a Bailiff for 16 years. Gene graduated from Columbia College, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sanger, and the Freemasons. He enjoyed camping; playing 42; working his land; spending time with his wife of 62 years until her passing; and enjoying time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on his grandchildren in their sports and activities.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and sister, Mozelle Judkins. He is survived by his sister, JoAnn Erwin; brother, Doug Morrow; son, Dowl Morrow and his wife Becky of Sanger; daughter, Jamie McCormick and her husband Anthone of Denton; 5 grandchildren, Avery, Carlye, AJ, Allye, and Ashley and their spouses; a great-grandson, Kace; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM with funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Sanger, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Sanger.
