Obituary

L.M. Jack Maggard, 93, of Trophy Club, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Maggard was born on November 19, 1919 in Newkirk, OK to Jacob Joseph and Mary (Hoyt) Maggard. He was married to Jane E. Nagel on July 23, 1941 in Wichita, KS; she died on March 21, 2005. He served as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
Jack worked for many years as a Bending Engineer; most recently he worked for Sheehan Pipeline and Construction Company in Tulsa, OK. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; Pipeliners Local Union #798 – charter member; and the Pipeliners Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his daughter, Myra Brewer and her husband Mike of Bismarck, AR; sons; Gary Maggard and his wife Judy of Bear, DE, Doyle Maggard and his wife Brenda of Mountain Springs, Stan Maggard and his wife Conni of Alvin, Bryan Maggard and his wife Denise of Bryan; 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Marjean Maggard Bonar; granddaughter, Eva Miers Baldi; brothers, E.L. "Tex" Maggard and Narbert Louis Maggard.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2013 in the chapel of Mulkey Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seasons Hospice, 6400 Shafer Ct., Rosemont, IL 60018.
