He was born August 28, 1946 in Jackson, Georgia to Lloyd and Frances McLendon Rowe. Bruce played football during his high school years at Jackson High School, and was named 1963 All State Class B Lineman of the year. He played offensive center for the University of Tennessee his freshman and sophomore years. He was a 1972 graduate of Georgia State University with a degree in Business Administration.  Bruce was a well respected member in the Wallcovering industry from 1974 to 2007.  He married Vicki Marcum on December 11, 1976 in Cumming, Georgia.  Bruce was a wonderful husband and father who delighted in his close-knit family. He had a renowned sense of humor. All who met him were drawn to this sense of humor and gentleness.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Vicki; daughters, Adrienne (Mrs. David Homanski) of Atlanta, Georgia, Kristan (Mrs. Mark Daigler) of Lockport, New York, Toni (Mrs. Cody Thomas) of Lewisville and Brittani Rowe of Lewisville and grandchildren, Jacob, Savannah and Nathan.

A celebration of life for Bruce will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Shiloh Church, 6500 Cross Timbers Road, Flower Mound, Texas 75022.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
