Lisa F. Higgs, 50, of Denton, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 7, 1961 in Denton. She attended public schools and was self employed. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Ms. Higgs is survived by her daughter, Emilee Higgs of Denton; father, James A. Erwin and his wife Becky of Denton; sisters, Vickie Lynn Landers of Winnsboro, and Denise Sales of Corinth; brother, David Erwin of Franklin, IN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Erwin; sister, Margaret Smith and brother, Bobby Corn.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Gateway United Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave., Denton, with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the church on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
