Linda Ann White, 73, of Aubrey, died Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Medical City Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. White was born on October 18, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William De and Mary Jane (Jones) Wimmer. She was married to Kendall White on May 31, 1969 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Linda earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University and worked several years as a social worker before starting a family. Linda loved her husband and each of her five children, pouring her life into caring for them. She raised children and grandchildren for 43 years and homeschooled for 17 years. She invested herself in other children through foster care, babysitting, and church ministry. Linda loved spending time with young couples and younger women mentoring them spiritually. She also loved their dogs and gardening. After her children were grown she worked 11 years as the receptionist for Cypress Bible Church. In 2012 they moved to Denton. Linda was a member of Denton Bible Church and served in the choir and children's ministry. She accepted Jesus as her savior as a young adult and served Him faithfully for more than fifty years. Her Bible is well-read and marked.
Linda is survived by her husband, Kendall White of Aubrey; children, Kaylin Calamaro (Andrew) of Pottstown, PA, Chad White (Becky) of Loganville, GA, Shawna Campbell (William) of Conroe, TX, Isaac White (Amanda) of Decatur, TX, Rebekah Wheat (Eric) of Aubrey, TX; brothers, Ron Wimmer (June) of Newkirk, OK, Larry Wimmer (Lea) of Broken Arrow, OK. She was Granny to eighteen grandchildren, Miriam (Stephen), Lydia, Andréa, Josiah, Micah, Ethan, Tirzah, Eliyana, Shenoah (Charleston), Najwa, Tekaih, J'Tavion, Jerami, Cassidy, Askiya, Gemma, Aiden, and Hudson; one great-grandson, Elias.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Denton Bible Church Chapel, 2300 E. University Dr., Denton. Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to attend.
