Linda Kay Reed, 69, of Denton, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2017. Linda was born on February 6, 1948 in Caddo, Oklahoma, the daughter of J.B. Winsett and Lois Price Winsett.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Perry Reed. Linda is survived by daughter Melissa Pedder and her husband Jimmy of Houston, step daughter Sheila Winsett of Perry, OK; sons John Reed and his wife Darla, and Richard "Casey" Reed of Denton; sisters, Bobbie Ruby, Kathy Langham, and Uvonne Duppstadt; and brother, Mickey Winsett. Linda is also survived by her grandchildren Shane Grimes, Selby Grimes, Ryan Reed, Teri Reed, Matthew Reed, Jason Pedder, Melanie Bostic, and Makayla Reed, and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at 10:00am at the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home Chapel, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Pastor Bob Cook officiating; burial to follow in Eakins Cemetery in Ponder, Texas. There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
