Linda Lou Orsak Little, 67, of Denton, died Friday, June 17, 2016, at her home in Denton.
Ms. Little was born on August 13, 1948, in Victoria, Texas, to Ernest and Josephine (Willard) Orsak. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from North Texas State University in 1970, lived for many years in Garland, TX, and worked as a social worker in Dallas, TX. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed a good cup of coffee, a bouquet of daisies and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her son, George Dennis Little, Jr. of Denton, TX; her daughter, Amy Little and partner Lisa Martin of Alameda, CA; sister Olivia Godfrey of St. Marys, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law Kay and Kent Daniels of Colorado Springs, CO, and Ginger and Steve Hummel of Georgetown, TX; step-mother and step-sister Norma Orsak and Debbie Westbeld of Houston, TX; nephew and nieces Chris Morris, Veronica Morris and Diana Godfrey, along with several great nephews and nieces to whom she enjoyed sending birthday cards each year.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her name to any charitable organization promoting the education, prevention and research of chronic obstructive pulmonary and other lung diseases.
We, the family, would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Denton Regional Medical Center and Vitas HealthCare for the kindness and care they gave our mother during the last weeks of her life.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Ernest Orsak and Josephine Willard Orsak.
