Obituary
Linda Jo Morris Knowles Born June 15, 1944 in Denton, Texas Died October 28, 2011 at Denton Regional Hospital Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ray Knowles, her parents Leonard and Juanita Morris, and one brother Tom Morris.
Linda is survived by her son, Clint and daughter-in-law Rachel Knowles of Corinth; daughter, Codi and son-in-law Jack Albertin of Denton; two grandchildren, AJ and Sadie Knowles, and five grand-dogs, Henri Jaimes, Danyal Haryson, Hayden Valley, Houston Allen and Gabriella Priscott. Her brother, Bob and sister-in-law Carla of Estero, Florida. Linda and her husband Al owned and operated Al's Furniture since 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Linda was also a private school teacher for over seventeen years.
A note from Linda: Although this tells the date of my birth and death, as well as, whom my parents, children and grandchildren were. My life was about the dash between the two dates. I grew up in a Christian home but did not come to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior until I was about twenty-one years old. From that point forward, I did not work to keep my salvation, but I worked because I had salvation. I taught Sunday school, led children's choir, sang in church, went on mission trips and did my best to serve wherever God wanted me. Nothing I have done is worth mentioning. It all has to do with what Christ has done for me. Even in my death I wish to tell you about John 14:6 (my late husband's favorite verse) Jesus said " I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." This is my wish for all of you. I want to see you in Heaven.
A visitation will be held at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 1 P. M. until 3 P.M. .
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, October 31, 2011 in the First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St. Denton, TX with Dr. Jeff Williams and Rev. Cliff Feeler, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St. Denton, TX 76201.
