Linda Jean Kimbrough, 64 of Jefferson, formerly of Denton, passed away at her home on September 21, 2012. She was born January 31, 1948 in Denton to Howard William and Anna Lee (Gheen) Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kimbrough is survived by her husband Owen J. Kimbrough of Jefferson, Son James May and wife Margaret of Valley View, sister, Sandy S. Warren and husband Carl of Denton, and Brother Billy Smith and wife Marian of Sanger, two Grandchildren, Randall May and wife Alyssa of Denton, and Amanda May of Oklahoma City, OK and two Great Grandchildren Joseph and Dakota May. She was preceded in death by parents, a son, Joe David May, sister, Mary Gertrude Sweeney, and Patsy Joyce Edwards and a brother Samuel Howard Smith,

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Dick Webster, officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Denton. The family will be at the funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
