Linda Sue Bixler, 58, of Denton, passed away on December 16, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1950 in Orange, Texas to George W. and Maria Marie (Mills) VanMeter. She was married to Robert Bixler on October 26, 1985 in Lewisville, TX. She was employed as a Library Administrator for Texas Woman,s University. A member of the TWU Alumni, TLA and ALA, as well as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, December 22, 2008 at the LDS Church, 3000 Old North Rd. Denton, with Bishop Mike Guilliam, officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 23,,2008 at the Short Cemetery in Center, Texas The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Saturday, December 20, 2008 for Visitation from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or the LDS Church, or the Charity of your choice.
Mrs. Bixler is survived by her Husband Robert Bixler, of Denton, daughters, Marguerite (Rita) and husband Seth Hopkins, of Lewisville, Eden and husband Andrew Perez, of Denton, Sons, Jason Aguirre, of Houston, Paris Aguirre, of Utah, Adam and wife Jenna Aguirre, of Farmers Branch, and Peter Bixler, of Farmers Branch, a sister Mary Landry and husband Billy, of Silsby, and Nine Grandchildren..
