Obituary

Lillie Maepearl (Pugh) Hodge, 84, of Aubrey, died Saturday May 6, 2017 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Hodge was born on October 27, 1932, in Denton to Homer and Mary Elizabeth (White) Pugh. She was married to James Norman Hodge on March 25, 1955, at North Dallas Baptist Church and remained married for 56 years until his death on June 12, 2011. She retired from Texas Instruments in McKinney after thirteen years; was a faithful member of First Rock Fellowship Church; member of Denton Rebekah Lodge #18; member of Denton Odd Fellow Lodge #82, and took care of the Aubrey Community Building for many years. She was famous for her pecan and lemon meringue pies and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and making all kinds of crafts.
She is survived by her three daughters, Teresa Ann Nave and her husband Dale of Wylie, Queta Marie McCullough and her husband Curtis of Pilot Point, Rebecca Diane Prince and her husband Jody of Corinth; son, Billy Ray Hodge, Sr. and his wife Carol of Runaway Bay; brother, Rev. Thomas Pugh of Denton; sisters-in-law, Stella Hodge Caldwell and her husband Bill, Jeri Hodge, Katy Hodge; nephew, Dr. Edward Dale Pugh and his wife Alicia; grandchildren, Tiffany Durey, Shelly Eskridge, Dale Nave, Jr. Veronica Palmer, Patrick Nave, Billy Ray Hodge, Jr., Bethany Brockett, Katelyn Hodge, Keith Hodge; step grandchildren, Amy Frey, Haylie McCullough, Jerrin Prince; nineteen great-grandchildren; five step- great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; brother, John David Pugh; sister-in-law, Mary Katherine Pugh; and niece, Mary Lynn Yee.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at First Rock Fellowship Church, Aubrey. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 11, 2017 at First Rock Fellowship Church, 201 N. Cherry St. Aubrey. Rev. Chris Walden and Dr. Dale Pugh will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery, Aubrey.
