Lillian Joy Bothwell Stanford, 57 of Denton, passed away on May 4, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born June 7, 1953 in Fort Worth, to Arthur Lee Bothwell and Dorothy Jean Cloud. She ws a member of the Gateway United Baptist Church, and had worked for Josten's as a Repair Operator for Thirty seven years.

Joy is survived by her son, Tracy Wayne Gibson of Denton, Brother Billy Wayne Bothwell, of Denton, and Grandmother Lillie Belle Owens of Aubrey and niece Jennifer Bothwell Button, of Glen Heights, Grandchildren Holden Smith of Denton Tanner and Taylor Gibson of Orr City, and a step daughter, Michelle Morales andchildrene Megan and Mason of McKinney, and a large extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Travis Stanford, her parents and brother Rickey Lee Bothwell.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Gateway United Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave. Denton with Rev. Buddy Owens, officiating, burial will follow in the Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. The family will be at the Church on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. for visitation.
