Lillian E. Bailey, age 61, of Marshall, formerly of Lewisville, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in Marshall after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 21, 1946 in Lewisville to Basil Curtis Bailey and Eula Mae Hilliard Bailey.

Lillian is survived by her daughters, Lori Taylor of Argyle, Julie Godfrey of Marshall and Lisa Vardas of Corinth; son, Pete Vardas of Lewisville; her companion of 14 years, Al Botello of Marshall; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and brother, Curtis Bailey of Denton. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Flower Mound Cemetery. Reverend W.F. Starnes will officiate the service. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.
