Lile F. Davis, age 80, of Plano, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008, in Plano, TX.

He was born September 24, 1928 in Fairfield, Alabama to Fennell Marion Davis and Louise Lile Davis. Lile married Edith Quinn who preceded him in death in January 1991. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Lile worked as a chemical engineer for Texaco for 37 years and was a member of Spring Branch Presbyterian Church.   Whether at the tennis courts or mentoring at a local school, Lile was continually building relationships with everyone he contacted.  Lile had a special way of encouraging others and helping all of us to live up to our potential.

He is survived by his daughters, Edie Campbell and her husband, Shaun of Frisco, TX and April Carne and her husband, Pat of Flower Mound, TX and by three grandsons.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Plano. Another memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church in Houston. The family requests memorial contributions made to the Texas Children's Hospital, the Presbyterian Children's Home, or the American Heart Association.
