Lewis DuWane Sims, 79, of Hickory Creek, passed away on October 19, 2015 in Denton. Lewis was born in Denton, TX on November 11, 1935 the son of Clarence Sims and Adella Richardson Sims. Lewis served in the U.S. Army, he was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, and was a retired dock manager for Hundley Boat Company. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Barbara Hundley Sims of Hickory Creek; two sons Byron Sims of Dallas and Daren Sims and wife Christina of Denton; two grandchildren Alisha Sims and Karissa Sims. He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Sims. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 Thursday October 22, 2015 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton with burial to follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Denton. A visitation will take place from 6-8 on Wednesday October 21, 2015 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.
