Leonard Herbert Richter, 85, of Denton, died Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital in Bonham, TX.
Mr. Richter was born on September 12, 1928 in The Grove, TX to Rudolph and Hulda (Dutschmann) Richter. He was married to Mary Jane Riherd on December 23, 1953 in Dalhart, TX. He served in the United States Army and retired from General Telephone Company. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Denton.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Richter of Denton; sons, Gary Richter and spouse Cindy of Denton, Quinn Richter and spouse Traci of Keller, Dwight Richter of Georgetown; sisters, Hilda Witt of McGregor, Lillie Phillips of Irving, Eileen Patschke of Thorndale; brothers, Walter Richter of San Diego, CA, Edmond Richter of Kyle; grandsons, Dwight Leonard Richter, Dylan Quinn Richter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry Richter.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton.
