Leona Francis Perdue, 77, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024, in Austin Texas. Leona was born in McAllen Texas on April 16, 1947.  The daughter of Lawrence Purdue and Daisy Spina Purdue. She is survived by her son Michael Ian McAninch, granddaughter Veronika Dent, and her brother Tom Perdue.  She also leaves behind cousins and friends.  She will be missed.

After graduation from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo high school; she attended North Texas University in Denton.  She married Michael Louis McAninch who passed away in 2000.

Fran's career was in the semiconductor industry which spanned over four decades starting in the early 70s.  From manually digitizing on Mylar to reel to reel data tapes through to today's computer aided design tools as an integrated circuit designer.  She retired in 2014.

Fran had an adventurous spirit and traveled with family and friends frequently. She had a green thumb and loved her pets.

Fran had a kind heart and was loved by many.

She lived a full life.
