Obituary

Leo Wells, 86, of Denton, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. He was born December 13, 1920 in Lewisville, TX to Jim Willis Wells and Carrie Belle (Abbott) Wells. He served in the U. S. Army and landed on Normandy in WW II, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was married to Frances Merle Rodden on April 6, 1946 in Gainesville, TX He was a member of the McKinney Street Baptist Church, and the VFW. He was a self employed Farmer and Dairyman.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 5, 2007 at the McKinney Street Baptist Church, 3000 E. McKinney St. Denton, with Rev. Bill Black and Rev. Kenneth Wells, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the McKinney Street Baptist Church.

Mr. Wells is survived by his wife, Frances M. Wells, Denton, two daughters, Debra Wells, of Denton, and Regina Laird, of Krum, a son, Harold Wells, of Krum, sister Nancy Imogene Singleton, of Carrollton, a brother Raymon Wells, of Shady Shores, Five Grandchildren, Seven Great Grand Children and Two Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Wells.
