Obituary
Lena Mae Roe, age 87, born July 26, 1926 in Lissie Texas to Zora (Melton) and Levi Billings, passed away peacefully at Cottonwood Manor in Denton on August 8, 2013.
Lena Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Sam B Roe of Tahoka, her parents, a son, a daughter, a brother, a granddaughter and several siblings.
Survivors are one son, Lonnie Roe and wife, Paulette, of Pearland TX, two daughters, Ruby Cruse and husband, Tyler of Corinth TX, Phyllis Cummings and husband, Howard Lewis, of Denton TX, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Lena Mae is also survived by several siblings, Willie Roe and wife, Glenna of Sundown TX, Inez Gandy and husband, Bill, of Ira TX, Pat Calloway and husband, Ken, of New Deal, TX, and Emily Bivens of Lubbock TX. She is also survived by her primary caregiver, Terri Claytor of Era, Texas.
There will be a memorial service for Lena Mae on Monday, August 12, 2013, at 2:00p.m. at the Mulkey- Mason Funeral Home chapel, 705 N. Locust, Denton, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Danny Lunsford officiating. In Lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave. 7th fl. New York, NY 10001.
