Lelia Jewelle Hardaway, age 88 passed away April 11, 2008 at her residences in Sanger. She was born February 20, 1920 in Denton to Rev. Paul and Elsie (Brandenbuger) Sizemore . She married Clifton James Hardaway , Sr. December 24, 1938 in Denton. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1991. She attended Denton Public Schools,, and was a Waitress at Ray's Café on the Square where she med her husband of 43 years. She was a Homemaker and a Baptist.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, April 14, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Cliff Feeler, officiating. Burial will follow in Bolivar Cemetery, Bolivar, Texas. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. Sunday, April 13, 2008.
She is survived by son Clifton "Buddy" Hardaway of Sanger. Daughters Elizabeth Farris and Barbara Draper both of Denton. Sister Doris Maggard of Denton. Loving Granddaughter, Julie Draper, and Grandsons, Jason, Bryan, and Randy Farris, all of Denton, seven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. Special attendants will be Kathy St. John, Carolyn Rollins, Debbie Wade, Gwin Reed, Brenda Calvert, and Margo Lynch. Mrs. Hardaway was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Harvey Sizemore, sisters, Margaret Lyles, Pauline Sizemore, Mary Sizemore, Jean Franklin and Jane Davis, and grandsons Jeff Draper and Michael Farris.
