Lawrence B. (Larry) Fitch, 69, of Denton, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Baylor University Hospital in Dallas. He was born April 4, 1936 in Ovid, Colorado to John Stewart and Pearl Edna (McNew) Fitch. He was married to Sally S. Dulin, on July 20, 1985 in Denton. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force after Twenty years service, and was a Gunsmith after his retirement. He attended Denton Bible Church. Larry was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, an excellent marksman who served on Air Force base competition teams. He was a member of the Denton County Amateur Radio Club, where he served as an assistant emergency coordinator for Denton County, helping track storms. Larry loved square dancing and it was a large part of his life for many years. He enjoyed family gatherings and watching grandchildren's activities. He loved his country and was proud to have served in the Air Force.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A. M. Tuesday, May 17, 2005 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Brent Bowen, officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at 2 P.M. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 7 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, May 16, 2005. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 12850 Spurling Dr. Ste. 220, Dallas, TX 75230, The National Rifle Association, or the American Radio Relay League, 225 Main Street, Novington, CT 06111 of the charity of your choice.
Mr. Fitch is survived by his wife, Sally S. Fitch, of Denton, Sons, Lawrence Fitch and wife Donna, of Bedford, and Ryan Fitch, of Cheyenne, Wyo. Step Sons, Jeff Dulin and wife Brenda, of Denton, Greg Dulin and wife Laura, of Houston, and Steve Dulin and wife Melody, of Coppell, sisters, Betty Ernst, of Greeley, Colo. Connie Fox, of Rochester, Penn. And Lorene Frick, of Julesburg, Colo. brother Jack Fitch, of Roswell, New Mexico, and eight grandchildren, Scott, Corey and Sarah Dulin, of Denton, Kristin and Kassie Dulin, of Coppell, and Autumn, Christopher and Matthew Dulin, of Houston.
