OBITUARY NOTICE FOR LaVERNE RAMBO

LaVerne Rambo, age 79, of Lewisville, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.

She was born October 9, 1928 in Energy, Texas to Vernie VanWinkle and Lela Stuteville VanWinkle. LaVerne married Roy D. Rambo on February 8, 1948 in Energy. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Flower Mound and retired from the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District.

She is survived by her husband, Roy; son, Vernie D. Rambo and wife, Barbara of Flower Mound; daughter, Jana Gaona of Lewisville; three grandchildren, Daniel, Natalie and Elena; two great grandchildren, Katie and Easton; sisters, Jo Thompson of San Angelo and Billie Adams of Waco and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebekah Rambo in 2002.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Flower Mound.

Interment will follow at Flower Mound Cemetery. Reverend David Williams will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
