Laverne "Granny" Howard, 83 of Little Elm, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in North Richland Hills, TX  She was born October 14, 1924 in Little Elm, to Henry and Eula (Nix) McDaniel.    She was a member of the Baptist Church, and was retired from the U S Envelope Co. as a Ink Jet Operator.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Little Elm Cemetery with Rev. Sam Redfearn, officiating.  The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Friday, September 19, 2008 ffrom 6 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. for visitation.

Mrs. Howard is survived by two daughters, Bettye Hope, of Little Elm, and Joyce Mohler, of Fort Worth, TX  and a son Hollis McCracken, ofAlso by a brother Henry   McDaniel, Jr. of Little Elm, and Five Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild.
