Lauranne Gipson, age 79, of Denton, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008, in Denton.

She was born November 23, 1928 in Belton, Texas to Wells F. Sutherland and Dessie Wood Sutherland.Lauranne married Curtis L. Gipson who preceded her in death on March 28, 1992.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Carson and husband, James of Denton and Glendine Huddleston and husband, Gary of Kaufman County, Texas; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and sister, Linda Dooley of Malakoff, Texas.

Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2008, at First United  Methodist  Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.  Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements.
