Larry Wayne Williams, 67, of Denton, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at his home in Denton, surrounded by family.
Larry was born on January 23, 1949 in Littlefield, TX to Eliga Daniel and Dovie Dee (Powell) Williams. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tarleton State University and also attended the University of North Texas. He was married to Cherry Nabors on January 29, 1971 in De Leon, TX. He was a member of Southmont Baptist Church and worked at Peterbilt Motors Company in the Quality Assurance Department.
Larry is survived by his wife, Cherry Williams of Denton; daughter, Holly Williams Duhon and her husband Dan of Denton; son, Tim Williams and his wife Kendra of Denton; sister, Norma Davis of Whitesboro; brothers, Dwayne Williams and his wife Lynnette of Arlington, Freddie Williams and his wife Karen of Azle; grandchildren, Christian Williams, Joey Duhon, Lexi Duhon, and Alyssa Williams. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Paul Williams, and a granddaughter, Katelyn Elizabeth Williams.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust Street in Denton. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Southmont Baptist Church, 2801 Pennsylvania Drive in Denton. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
