Kim Marie (Mattoon) Kingston, 48, of Denton, TX, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016,
after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Cortland, NY May 23, 1968 to Nelson, Sr.
and Barbara (Currie) Mattoon. She moved to Texas with her family in 1973.
She graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving, TX May 1986. She then
went on to graduate from Executive Secretarial School soon after. She was
working at Jack in the Box when she was diagnosed with cancer last year.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Ashley and Alisha Felts, both of Denton,
Malinda (Felts) Warner of San Diego, CA and Brandi Kingston of Aubrey;. her
parents of Jefferson, TX; her brother Nelson Mattoon, Jr (Rhonda) of Denton;
Scott Mattoon (Laura) of Oak Point, TX and Wendy Jones (Brandon) of Sanger.
She is also survived by 4 nieces, Nicole Waltman of College Station, Kaylee,
Hannah and Sydney Jones of Sanger and 1 nephew Michael Albright of Sanger,
TX; and many cousins.
She also had 4 grandchildren, Klohie, Kiana, Kenny Felts and Malikai
Warner who she loved with all her heart. She was always so happy when the
grandkids were happy.
She made many friends along the way. She talked about many of them daily
and would share stories with her family about the fun times she had while working
at Jack in the Box. Delmy and Marilyn Barillas had been amazing throughout her
whole journey and she looked at them as family.
Throughout her life, she always loved to laugh and smile. She had a
wonderful smile that everyone will remember about her. She enjoyed camping,
fishing, going to concerts and singing.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Amy and Frank Brooks and
Irene and Judah Currie and many Aunts and Uncles who were there to welcome
her in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 6:30p.m. the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel 705 N. Locust St. in Denton.
